📌Food Recall
Food recall is a procedure that is initiated when the food is decided unsafe.
FBO has to follow the complete Food Recall process that includes:
🔸 Recall
🔸 Post Recall report
🔸 Follow up action

📌The following has to be mentioned on the food recall notice:
🔸Name of the FBO recalling the food
🔸Name of food, brand name, pack size, batch and code number, date of manufacture, use by date, best before date
🔸The contamination or violation the food or reason for such recall
🔸Dont consume message
🔸Health warning and action
🔸The places or outlets where the food is found
🔸The action to be taken by the consumer
🔸Contact number for queries.
📌Food Recall plan is for:
FBO who are engaged in manufacture or importation or wholesale supply should have up to date recall plan.The food retailers are not required to have food recall plan until they are

engaged in the manufacturing or importation or wholesale supply of food.
📌What top do with recovered or recalled food:
The FBO should store the recovered or recalled food in a separate space and it has to be labelled as “Recalled product not fit for human consumption”

The FBO should maintain accurate records of the recovered food including:
🔸Lot Number
🔸Batch Number
🔸Pack Size
🔸Brand Name
🔸Date of manufacture
🔸Best before date
